BEAUTY: Installation--Candy Chang

Public installation artist, designer, urban planner, TED Fellow, and co-founder of Civic Center in New Orleans, Candy Chang created an inspiring site specific and interactive art piece on the side of an abandoned house in New Orleans earlier this year. Located at the corner of Marigny and Burgundy, the simple installation consists of chalkboard paint and chalk. Visitors and passers-by are encouraged to write down a goal, something they want to do before they die. When the board is full, it is documented and photographed, then washed clean and the process starts again. As of this writing, the wall may still be up. But there is also an on-line version if you can't make it to New Orleans. Visit it here.
