Just watched...

...the British indie film from 2013, "Frequencies," written and directed by Darren Paul Fisher.

It is a very special science fiction film that engages on an imaginative and intellectual level without using any special effects! This charming story, also known as "OXV: The Manual," stars Daniel Fraser and Eleanor Wyld as star crossed lovers in an alternate reality where every human being has a "frequency" at which he or she vibrates, a sort of invisible electronic signature...which is vaguely reminiscent of how electrons have a "spin." If someone of a lower frequency approahces someone of a much higer frequency, disaster ensues...unfortunately for the one of lower frequency. But somehow, Zak (Daniel Fraser), a young man with a low frequency, has discovered a way to bypass the nature of this universe to be able to be near to his one true love, Marie (Eleanor Wyld).

There are some wonderful speculative ideas in this film, and as I mentioned, with no special effects whatsoever, we are engulfed in this alternate reality. Powerfully imaginative, clever, and thought-provoking.

Recommend? Yes.

I've never heard of this, yet it sounds exactly like the kind of movie I would love. Must check it out. Thanks for the recommendation!
