BEAUTY: Interior--Marky Morel

I love what Los Angeles-based interior designer Marky Morel designed for a client who wanted a kitchen with a French vibe, one that seemed to have been collected and assembled over time, a kitchen with history and patina...a bit Parisian, a bit Provençal, and generally all around Old World loveliness.

And check out the sad, sad, sad before photo...

Hello,

Thank you for your kind words. It was a fun and rewarding project. I think it will always be one of my favorites!

By the way, the photographer was Scott Longwinter of Longwinter Images.

Thanks again,

Hello,

Thank you for your kind words. You never know what you'll come up with when you google your name! This kitchen was personally rewarding. The client really cared about the details and was willing to take risks!

Keep up with the posts. You have some interesting reading for me to do.

HI Marky!

Thanks so much for stopping by! This kitchen is executed so well. I particularly love the sweet pantry with the paned glass wall (it feels like a garden room--one could pot plants in there!)...soooo lovely. I'm an interior designer too so I know from where I speak. I have had my own business for over 10 years now and I can count on one hand the clients I have had who have been willing to really go for it and take a risk with design. So glad you were able to do that here.

Again, thanks for visiting my blog--December is coming, full of my favorite holidays, and the blog is pretty much given over to winter imagery which I just love. But stay tuned for more posts about films, books, art, fashion, architecture, and music!

Best,
JEF
